The Öreghalász Guesthouse is located in the green belt of Keszthely, 170 meters from Lake Balaton and the Helikon Beach, and 100 meters from the bicycle path.
Families and small groups can enjoy a few days or even a week in a cozy atmosphere and a real garden house feeling close to the beach. The fresh air, the garden and the nearby beach provide relaxation, while the nearby university sports field, the bike path and the nearby beach offer the opportunity for the active ones to indulge in their favorite sport.
The house consists of 4 separate apartments, 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the upper floor. The units are 2-room, where even a small family can fit comfortably. The guests’ comfort is ensured by a fully equipped kitchen in each unit, air conditioning in two units and a bathroom and toilet in each room. The apartments have their own terrace, 2 with panoramic view and 2 overlooking the garden. On quieter evenings or rainy days, there is no need to worry, as the guesthouse has excellent internet quality and each apartment is equipped with its own TV.
Close to Nature
The guest house has a beautiful green grassy garden available to all guests who seek a little peace and quiet. There is also the possibility of grilling and cooking over an open fire. The children can play safely while the adults enjoy each other’s company and the fresh air of Lake Balaton.
The Erzsébet-grove is just a few hundred meters away. Here nature lovers can observe the local birds such as the blackbird, the chaffinch and the redstart.
For Cyclists
The Balaton cycling route runs 100 meters from the guest house. Therefore, everything is easily accessible along the shore and the bike route, Fenékpuszta is just a quarter-hour small tour, and the Keszthely pier is only 7 minutes away by bike. Here you can even get on the Giant Wheel to see the Balaton and the city from 50 meters high. It is worth taking a ride with children to the Kis-Balaton Visitor Center, where they can get to know the animal and plant world of the grove through an interactive exhibition.
Parking
Parking is possible within a closed garden, with one car per apartment.
Approach
It is advisable to approach the accommodation from the south side of Lake Balaton. When we arrive in the town from Fenékpuszta, we need to turn right at the first intersection, then left towards the Roman Road, and immediately right again, and the guest house will be visible.
