Spring Greeting

Visitors are invited to enjoy thematic guided tours, professional lectures, and interactive programs held at the Keszthely Castle Park and the Amazon House. During this two-day event series, the North Wing of the castle will open its doors to the general public. Additionally, the Carriage Exhibition, the Model Railway Exhibition, and the Hunting Exhibition will feature special, non-traditional presentations.

10:00 – 16:00 Garden Railway: Operating between the Hunting Exhibition and the Historical Playhouse.

10:00 – 17:00 Opening of the Castle’s North Wing: Guests can explore the ballrooms, private suites, and the Venetian Mirror Hall.

11:00 Lecture in the Marble Hall: “What you didn’t know about the Festetics family…”

11:00 Tracking in Nature: At the Hunting Exhibition, discover animal tracks and the signs of their presence in forests, fields, meadows, and deep reed beds.

13:00 Carts, Carriages, and Automobiles in Aristocratic Life: A special guided tour at the Carriage Exhibition.

14:00 Building Tour in the Amazon House – By Land, Water, and Air:
The Amazon House is one of the most significant architectural heritage sites in Keszthely’s history. As the city’s first inn, this centuries-old building once offered lodging to weary travelers; today, it hosts the exhibition “Aristocratic Travels, Travel Adventures.” The tour explores the surroundings and courtyard of the Amazon, includes a visit to the former manorial horse-changing station, and a “cellar-to-attic” tour of the former hotel and its exhibition.
