This exhibition is not merely an artistic event, but a tribute to the Hungarian identity and military tradition—a living link between the past and the present.

Lovers of history and art are invited on a special journey through time to a unique hussar exhibition, where the glorious past of the Hungarian hussars comes to life. The exhibition features the works of painter Zalán Kertai, presented as part of the collection of art collector Norbert Máday. These monumental paintings, rendered with historical authenticity and artistic power, depict not only individuals in uniform but also the spirit, dignity, discipline, sartorial culture, and legendary bravery of the hussars.

Among the special events of the exhibition is a book launch featuring the joint volume by Norbert Máday and Cintia Pogrányi, which reveals the world of historical hussar depictions to the public. Relying on contemporary imagery, the richly illustrated work shows how the image of the hussar was shaped through the centuries—from early engravings to the works of the late 18th century.

All visitors are warmly welcomed to this inspiring historical and artistic experience. Following the exhibition opening, guests can attend the presentation of the book titled Hussars by Norbert Máday and Cintia Pogrányi from 17:30.

The exhibition is open to the public from March 13, 2026, to April 10, 2026.
