Pedestrian street

Kossuth Lajos Street, Keszthely

Kossuth Lajos Street, transformed into a pedestrian street, is paved with noble materials, granite slabs and basalt cubes. Many historic and listed buildings can be found here. Most of the buildings were built in the second half of the 19th century in a Romantic or Eclectic style, according to the fashion of the age. Georgikon Street and the steep Szalasztó Street border the pedestrian street. At the crossing of Szalasztó Street and the pedestrian street, a brook gurgled until the beginning of the 20th century, and a stone bridge (Johannes-Brücke) was built over it.
